Eligibilty Criteria for M.Sc Applied Chemistry:

A candidate for admission to M.Sc. Applied chemistry must hold one of the following degrees from a recognised University.

i) B.Sc. with Chemistry,Physics & Mathematics general.

ii) B.Sc. with Chemistry,Physics & Statistics.

iii) B.Sc. with Chemistry,Physics & Geology.

iv) The candidate must also have passed Mathematics Examination at the Intermediate level.

Eligibilty Criteria for M.Sc. Applied Mathematics:

i) B.A/B.Sc with A.B. Courses of Mathematics.

ii) B.Sc. with Mathematics General & Physics.

Eligibilty Criteria for M.Sc. Applied Physics:

A candidate for admission to M.Sc. Applied Physics must hold B.Sc. degree with Physics & Mathematics.

Eligibilty Criteria for M.Phil Mathematics:

Candidates possessing Master's degree (preferably in 1st. Division) in Mathematics from a recognised University or equivalent qualifications recognised by the Syndicate and having a good academic record may be admistted to M.Phil class.

Admission Procedures for M.Sc. in Applied Physics,Chemistry & Mathematics:

a) Application (in duplicate) on precribed form with requisite documents, complete in all respects should be submitted to the Convenor, Admission Committee, University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore on or before the due date.

b) Incomplete applications will not be entertained.

c) The non-refundable application fee should be remitted/paid through Bank Draft/Pay Order/ Bank Challan in favour of the Treasurer of the University with the application.

d) The admission of foreign students will be made on the basis of the academic record of the candidate and the assessment of his scholarship made by the Board of PostGraduate Studies of the Department concerned. The Board of postgraduate studies may ask the candidate to appear for test and interview.

Test & Interview for Admissions:

A written admission test shall be held by the department concerned on the fixed date and interviews shall be held immediately after the test. Separate test shall be held for each specialization where applicable. The candidate must qualify the test and interview.

The Admission to any department will be granted on Merit.

Determination of Merit:

In order to determine the merit for admission, the marks obtained by a candidate in the test & interview will also be added to the academic marks obtained by him as given below:-

Academic      60 Marks.

Test               25 Marks.

Interview        15 Marks.

Admission Procedures for M.Phil. Mathematics:

i) Admission to students to M.Phil class shall be made by an Admission Committee consisting of three teachers from the Board of Postgraduate Studeis of the department.

ii) All Admissions made by the Admission Committee shall be reported to the Dean of the faculty concerned for registration.

iii) The admission of any student is liable to be terminated by the Board of Postgraduate Studies on a report from his supervisor, at any time if his academic progress or conduct is not found to be satisfactory at any stage.

iv) When the admission of a student has been notified to him, he shall pay the prescribed dues within the period specified for this purpose otherwise his admission shall liable to be canceled.
